U-TURN...well, well, well...the name itself gives a twist....u-turn is not just a Faculty fresher's welcome but its much much more....a 2 day event packed with innumerable events ranging from students' participations to guest performances...U-TURN is indeed a cultural festival organised by the seniors of the ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY faculty of J.U. for the freshers'....the manifold talents get an opportunity to express themselves at u-turn!

In order to ensure that we can relive those glorifying moments of U-TURN '09 later on, we have decided to make a short film "iti jibon - a letter by life" loosely inspired by this year's u-turn.......Reminiscing over the past gives us joy, specially when the memories are glorious and filled with jubilance......This short documentary would aim at rediscovering those cheerful moments centering U-TURN' 09 at a time much much later, perhaps when these freshers' will no longer be freshers' anymore!!! ....Memories fade, days go by....but we love to cherish the past, specially when it gives us joy!...that's the main motive behind our film!

HEY GUYS THIS FILM WILL BE RELEASED ONLINE JUST BEFORE THE PUJAS THIS YEAR

This is a documentary loosely inspired by the cultural extravaganza U-TURN 2009 organized at JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY to welcome the freshers

. further information and updates will be published here only..........................this time we are working with a photographer who has bagged the 1st prize in the PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION held at SANSKRITI 2009..........we will not disclose the name now

U-TURN , THE BIGGEST FACULTY FRESHERS in town was born in2003 and after experiencing 6 long years' life at Jadavpur University it is now 7 yrs old and is set to celebrate it's 7th birthday at U-TURN 2009

This extravaganza is probably the heart throb of all college students of kolkata , to say the least ........students work out innovative plans day and night for a betterment in celebration every year........so its ought to be the best in it's spirit , the way it's carried out....................it's truly filled with sounds of laughter , jubilance , adoration all in proper resonance.......The name itself suggests something about the event.............

The first day will see students (freshers) perform in any and every possible way they can ranging from quizzes to choreography and plays while the second day is kept aside for guest performance .last year it was PRALAY from MUMBAI ................let's see who comes this time
